Marc and I first had the pleasure of meeting Brienna and Michael last Spring at the beautiful Heritage Prairie Farms – the wedding of one of our favorite couples, Cyrielle & Matthew.  When Brienna initially emailed me, she had mentioned that she was the cousin of Matthew and they had truly loved the photos we took at Cyrielle & Matthew’s wedding – so much that they hoped we were available for their upcoming wedding date.   We are always honored and humbled when we receive these types of inquiries. I quickly checked our calendar, then replied “YES” and couldn’t wait to set up a time to chat and get to know them a little bit better.

The morning of Brienna & Michael’s wedding, we were a little apprehensive about the weather.   As we traveled to Rockton, I continually checked the radar and the hour by hour reports.  It appeared as though the rainy weather was going to pass mostly to the south and hold off for the majority of the day.

The bridal room at Orchard Farms Pavillion is a quaint little building. A building perfectly suited to host the entire bridal party and all the getting ready activities that typically surround the wedding-day morning. As I entered the room, I found Brienna sitting calmly – a perfect state of grace surrounded by her 4 sisters.   She was excited to put on her sleek Mikaela wedding gown.   With the assistance of her mom and her sisters, Brienna slipped into being a bride.  The gown fit perfectly. Now she was excited to see her Michael as she walked down the aisle.

Although there was a threat of rain, Brienna and Michael chose to take the risk and have their ceremony outdoors.    I absolutely swoon over outdoor ceremonies, and the ceremony location at the Pavilion was stunning.  Guests were being seated facing the large oak trees that made for a naturally beautiful back drop as Michael waited for his bride.

As the music began to play and the bridal party walked the long hilly path to the front of the seated guests, the excitement and the emotion Michael was trying to hold together as he saw the love of his life walk towards him was palpable.

The day turned out a beautiful celebration of love and emotion – Marc and I were very honored to share in the joyful day.   I have been so excited to share this preview – here are just a few of our favorite moments of the day!
