"I have found the one
whom my soul loves."
It's easy for us to connect with our couples because we were in your shoes just last year. As newlyweds, we are so excited to share in all of the love, excitement, and anticipation that comes along with planning your perfect wedding.
We get to know each of our couples personally because we believe the wedding is not just to be looked at as one day, but the beginning of many wonderful days of marriage that will follow. Nothing is more fulfilling than to be married to your best friend and sharing in the laughter, joy, and every special moment that life brings.
Every fourth of July we travel down some back country roads to a tucked away little place in eastern Iowa, Leisure Lake. The property has been in our family nearly 60 years - and celebrating the fourth of July at the cottage has been a family tradition for as long as I can remember. Fireworks, s'mores, swimming, boating, catching lightning bugs... In all these passing years not a thing has changed. Parents chat around the campfire while kids run around the yard and play. It is one of our most treasured and beloved family traditions.
To us, food is not only about filling your hungry tummy, it is also about enjoying an experience with your friends and loved ones. Sharing a meal is a very human and celebratory tradition which is why wedding reception feasts have been a part of the marriage tradition around the world since long ago. Every couple can tell you about an amazing meal they shared together and why it was so memorable. Our first date included Marc making us a grilled cheese sandwiches; the night we became engaged we celebrated with steak and champagne in a Chicago steak house. Most free nights you can catch us cooking together in the kitchen or exploring new local restaurants.
We believe that the world is not meant to be viewed from any single vantage point. Go out and explore! Whether we are walking along the warm white-sand beach of Siesta Key or getting lost driving through Wisconsin, we believe life is always meant to be an adventure. Especially when you are holding the hand of the one you love.
