“Do you trust me?” I looked at Brooke and Clay hoping they were ready to go along and trust me for an idea I had at their engagement session. They smiled at each other, nodded, and assured me “absolutely”. We looked both ways as we jaywalked to the 3 foot wide center median of Michigan Avenue. These two wanted the city’s hustle and bustle so I was determined to produce an image just as they had imagined. Brooke and Clay met up with me a few weeks ago in downtown Chicago, hoping for an engagement session that would represent what they enjoy most about this historic urban location. These two dressed sharply and looked absolutely stunning for their engagement session – I knew I had to create something that would look equally amazing in a photograph.
Brooke and Clay don’t have to work hard to show how much they love each other, it was displayed so naturally in front of the camera. As Clay whispered things in Brooke’s ear, her laugh and smile matched the love she has in her heart for her soon to be husband. We were lucky to have Clay’s brothers come along for the session to help with a few details, not the least of which was caring for a puppy – Brooke and Clay’s Boston Terrier appropriately named Beans. Of course we were happy to incorporate Beans into a few shots as well. I had such a great time getting to know Brooke and Clay throughout their session and I am looking forward to their November 2018 wedding.
Check out all of my favorites from their session!
