I love seeing new emails pop into my inbox from excited brides-to-be. Elisa had initially reached out to me in February with an email bursting with energy as she was researching engagement photographers. Elisa expressed her appreciation of architecture and how, while searching for a photographer, she came across an engagement session I captured couple of years earlier at the iconic Union Station.
The scene was exactly what she had envisioned for her own engagement session. We immediately set up a phone call to chat and get to know each other. Elisa spoke of how she and her fiancé, Hans, had met, and how much she adores him. I wanted this session to be memorable and fun for them both.
The weather was cooperative for our first engagement session of the year. Although the temperatures turned a bit chilly as the sun began to dip behind the sky scrapers, these two were excited and came fully prepared to rock their engagement session. For each engagement session, I make sure to help our couples with planning what to wear and what to expect during the shoot. Elisa took all our advice to heart and rocked an amazing, old time glam cocktail dress. With professional hair and makeup, Elisa was looking her best and Hans had a difficult time keeping his eyes off her.
After each engagement session we suggest to our couples that they enjoy a little date night – and why not? They are already looking and feeling fabulous. We finished up the session with the sun dipping low on the horizon. Hans and Elisa were then off to dinner reservation at the Metropolitan in Willis Tower. The perfect end to the perfect evening.
We wish the best of luck to Elisa and Hans as they tie the knot later this year in the beautiful lavender fields of New Mexico. We can’t wait to see all the exciting updates to come.
