We were only fifteen minutes away from the start of the ceremony when I walked into the bridal room to check on Danielle I smiled as I saw her sitting on the floor, a petite and beautiful bride surrounded by layers and layers of wedding gown tulle. She was sharing laughs and smiles with her dearest and closest friends, her mother, and the soon to be mother in law. Danielle was a bride who was just so happy to see the wedding day had finally arrived so of course she couldn’t stop smiling. The joy she beamed was absolutely contagious. When the time had arrived to walk down the aisle, Danielle took the arm of her grandfather. Grandpa Mayer smiled and squeezed her hand; it was a special moment for them both as they set down the aisle.
As the golden sun slowly began to sink over the golf course, Chris saw Danielle for the first time that day as she made her way down the aisle towards him. Chris’s smile said it all. He was watching the woman he first started dating in high school eight years ago, walk down the aisle towards him. From their first group dates at IHOP and Dairy Queen, to having fully grown together in love. Now Danielle stood as a beautiful bride before him about to say forever. Danielle and Chris have been waiting for this moment on this day and nothing could have been more special than for all of us to be witnessing this proclamation of love.
The reception was warmly decorated with the glow of candlelight and rich colors of the coming fall. Autumn leaves beautifully accented the tables with bold red, orange, and yellow florals. The lighted draped ceiling added to the elegance and warmth of the room. Throughout the tables were framed snapshots of Danielle and Chris displaying all the years they had dated – each one different, each one special, each one told a story how much they were in love. Such a beautiful evening celebrated with love. We even had the pleasure of shooting our Niece and Nephew in the wedding party! Best wishes to Danielle and Chris. We just know that you have many more years of happiness to look forward to.
