I love couples that can take a few personal things they love and make their wedding completely them. For Megan and Connor that included climbing into Connor’s Off-Road truck after leaving the church. But that was just the beginning – there were a couple things which Megan informed me of about her wedding day that made me excited when we discussed their plans a few months before the wedding. The first detail was that her and Connor’s wedding theme was Southwest. They love traveling to that region and have captured some beautiful pictures there so I knew this was where Megan would gather some colorful design inspirations. From the invitation to the selection of bridesmaid dresses and floral bouquets, the light dusty blues played perfectly with the pinks and coral tones.
Megan and Connor’s love of the Southwest didn’t stop at the decor. As guests entered into the reception they were greeted with a shot of tequila as place cards to find their reception table – complete with salt and lime! How fun is that idea? That was just the beginning of the fun evening and could also explain the incredible dancing that ensued.
The next personal touch Megan and Connor added to their wedding day was their love of Queso. I mean, seriously.. who doesn’t love queso?!? Not only did we make a yummy queso for their wedding week recipe, but keeping in with their southwest theme, it was also served at their reception. There was also a taco bar which made for a fun time for their guests creating perfect personalized dinner tacos.
Megan and Connor are definitely fun to be around and there were many sweet moments these two shared this day like Connor selecting his father as his best man, as well as Megan and Connor exchanging letters to each other before their first look. I wish many happy years ahead for these two as we share a few of our favorite parts of their beautiful wedding day.
A special thanks to all the vendors who made Megan & Connors day beautiful!
