A wedding day symbolizes unity – the coming together of two people, two families and, sometimes the traditions of two countries. Angela was born and raised in the states by her large and fun Italian family. Adam was born and raised in the U.K. and came to the United States to experience life here and use his skills as a soccer player to teach youth soccer (or football as he would say).
As a matter of fact, this is exactly how Angela and Adam first met. Angela’s youngest sister played youth soccer and after attending a few games and practices, Angela caught the eye of her sister’s coach, Adam. It took nearly three years and many playful glances across the field before Adam asked Angela out. I am certain Angela’s little sister had put a good word in on both sides of this love match. She was quite pleased to see these two finally start dating. Not long after that, Adam knew Angela was the one he wanted to spend forever next to.
The wedding day arrived and the weather was warm, sunny, and beautiful. This was Marc and my first time capturing a wedding at the beautiful Hotel Baker. It was the perfect location for their wedding – with its beautiful old-world charm and perfectly manicured gardens. Angela looked stunning in her wedding gown and her bridesmaids wore fun and bright short teal lace-embellished dresses. I loved the vibrant colors of the bridesmaids’ bouquets with their stunning white lily’s and purple and blue orchids.
Every piece of the day was chosen perfectly to compliment Angela and Adams love for each other. One of the cutest details was the little American and British flags guests received while being sat for the ceremony, allowing them to wave the flags as Angela and Adam were pronounced husband and wife. Even the guests’ wedding favors were cleverly thought out with homemade Italian limoncello bottles tied with English toffee. We were so excited Angela made sure we got one before we went home for the evening because we were trying to figure out how to steal on if she didn’t. It was so tasty!
It’s so hard to pick a few of our favorites to share because there are so many great pictures. Angela and Adam, we loved being a part of your wedding day – cheers to many years of happiness!
